FAQ

Do you also offer complete bikes?

No we do not. Assembling a bike is half the joy of buying a new bike. Build it yourself or get to know your local bikeshop a bit better.

How do I chose the right size for my new ride?

The best way is to either call us, email us or get a bike-fit with someone you know.

What warranty do I get?

The frame and fork warranty for our products is 2 years from date of purchase and covers manufacturing defects only. Please remember to keep your sales receipt.

What’s your maximum disc rotor size?

Maximum rotor size for the Mist and Cumulus is 180mm.

Maximum rotor size for the Stratus (frame and fork): 160mm

Can i try one?

We do have a few sizes available for a test ride. Or i can hook you up with one of the precious buyers to test their bike. Other than that means buying it without seeying it. Send us an email and we will try to work something our for you.

Are the frames made in the EU?

Our frames are handbuilt and painted in Taiwan. Taiwan is a fabrication hotspot for bicycles where most quality bikeparts originate.

Can I get your frames in a different color?

No and Yes! To keep the framesets affordable we've chosen to have the bikes painted in Taiwan. We stock only one color per model per batch. If you want to go full custom, see the next item;

Is it possible to repaint the frame or fork?

It is. Send us an email and we will hook you up with a trusted paintshop. This way you will not void your warranty.

What is the weight limit?

In general with steel bikes; it depends on how you ride it. We would say a combined weight of 130kg is a safe range.

Can I collect my purchase directly at you, so I can discuss a few built options?

Of course! Send us an email to make an appointment.

Stratus compatibility

Shifting: Our stratus frameset is built with a 1x drivetrain in mind. However it can be built with a 2x setup as well.

Since the stratus frame is top-tube routed, it can easily be transformed to a double cable set-up on the top tube with cable guides suitable for two cables.

We’ve seen the following solutions in case of a down pull front derailleur:

  1. The traditional cyclo-cross style with a return wheel. The frame is fitted with two mounting points at the back of the seat tube. The upper is for a outer-cable stop, the lower for the return wheel.

  2. The latest front derailleur come with a cable stop for your outer cable. However, you need to rout the cable on the down tube with rear brake line. Do not forget to mount an inline adjuster.

  3. If you still prefer the top-tube routing; There are several brands and aftermarket brands that make a top-pull converter for your down pull front derailleur.

  4. SRAM eTap

  5. Single speed (with an EBB). Split-belt even?

In case of a top pull of dual pull derailleur you just need to decide if you want a full outer cable or a cable stop on the back of the seat tube.

The options for your drivetrain start with microSHIFT. We would suggest the ADVENT X as a cheap built option. A supercool option is mixing a SRAM Road groupset with an Eagle Derailleur with Parallel Handbuilts ‘Budget Mullet’ for a super range 1x11 drivetrain.

Brakes: All of our frames (gravel, plus, fatbike) are post-mount (160mm as standard) compatible. There are a few conversion kits out there that will let you use a direct mount caliper on a post mount frame. However we suggest to just swap your calipers for post-mount calipers. While you are at it; why not upgrade to Hope RX4 calipers?

Axles: Front: 100x15 Rear: 142x12 (Comes with frameset)

Headset: 44mm inner diameter headtube.

For example: a Cane Creek ZS44 upper and a EC44 lower bearing. Many others produce a headset like this.

Bottom Bracket: PF30 68mm

We suggest a Wheels MFG PF30 MTB/RACE bottom bracket.
